“Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” -Brené Brown

Hi, my name is Madison! I have a bachelors degree from Arizona State University and a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Northwest University. I grew up in western Washington and  love calling the Pacific Northwest my home. Outside of the office, I enjoy reading, hiking, photography, travel, and making memories with my loved ones.

My approach to counseling is warm, empathetic, and flexible. I value honesty, authenticity, and humor as a clinician. I aim to have a genuine and open working relationship with clients and meet them where they are at. I believe it is an honor to engage in a therapeutic relationship and be invited into the lives and stories of individuals. I believe individuals are the experts of their own stories and are capable of self actualization. In the therapeutic process, goals are client-directed and focused on the client’s stated needs.

I have had the opportunity to work closely with parents, children, and adolescents in school and volunteer settings. Currently I am focusing serving on clients ages 11+. I have found great joy in supporting individuals through issues such as depression, anxiety, grief & loss, life transitions, emotional regulation, and struggles with parenting. I believe there are no issues too big or small to bring into the therapeutic space. From feelings of hopelessness and despair, anger and frustration,  general anxieties or “what if’s”; We will work together towards your goals.

Overall, I adopt a person-centered approach to counseling. I believe in the power or healing and growth through the client’s self- exploration and reflection. I also utilize therapeutic modalities centered around building psychological flexibility and identifying and changing unhelpful patterns and behaviors. I also utilize practical skill building (such as behavior replacements and coping skills) and expressive art activities in session. I also offer Christian based counseling and faith integration upon request.
