Mental Health Counselor - Graduate Intern

Going to counseling is both vulnerable and brave, and I’d be honored to walk alongside you in the process. I support individuals, couples, families, and business owners navigating transitions and challenges; helping you understand your emotions, decisions, and relationships to create a clearer path forward.

None of us exist in a bubble—our upbringing, relationships, and community shape who we are. Whether working with individuals or multiple clients, I prioritize understanding, communication, and an environment where all perspectives are heard. Your point of view is important to me. My background in small business also gives me insight into the unique dynamics of family businesses and relational conflict.

In my office, I want you to feel deeply understood while developing emotional processing skills and building the tools you need to strengthen key relationships. Creating change also requires careful reflection of our thoughts and patterns. When it comes to family systems, it’s important to address the ways an individual's challenges affect the family and vice-versa. This helps clients understand how family history and relational patterns shape them. If you’d like to learn more about the technical aspects of my approach, you can look into Experiential Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Bowenian Family Systems Theory. I incorporate elements of each of these when helpful.
As a Christian, I value the power of prayer and Scripture in the counseling process. I offer faith-based counseling for those who want it, incorporating spiritual resources in a way that aligns with your needs. I also approach faith in a way that supports, rather than bypasses, emotional processing and healing. However, you do not have to be a Christian to work with me - my practice is open to people from all backgrounds.

Originally from Whatcom County, I am currently obtaining my Masters in Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling from Messiah University. My transition to counseling has allowed me to deepen relational skills and provide meaningful support to my clients based on an understanding of the practical realities and demands of life.
