Hi! I work with older teens and adults of all ages who feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, perfectionism, sadness, loneliness, and self-doubt. These patterns are often rooted in past experiences or unresolved trauma. Many of my clients are motivated to change and appear high functioning on the outside, but internally feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of who they are or why they keep repeating the same patterns. Together, we will go beyond surface-level coping to help you understand yourself more deeply and create lasting change.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you understand yourself more deeply. Instead of seeing your thoughts or behaviors as the problem, we explore the different parts of you, for example: the part that feels anxious, the part that overthinks, the part that shuts down, in order to better understand what each part is trying to do for you.
Many people feel stuck because these parts are working against each other. Together, we slow things down, make sense of those internal patterns, and help you respond to yourself with greater clarity and compassion rather than criticism.
Above all, I believe real change happens when you feel safe, understood, and not judged. My role is to create that space so you can explore what’s going on beneath the surface and move toward lasting change.
I also specialize in working with individuals in recovery from substance use who want to break cycles at the root, addressing not just behaviors, but the underlying emotional and relational patterns that drive them.
For those who desire it, I offer Christian counseling that integrates faith with clinical insight, supporting healing and growth through both psychological and biblical truth.
I’m originally from Southern California and moved to Washington State with my husband 11 years ago. The Pacific Northwest has truly become home, and I love the lifestyle it offers. I enjoy hiking, spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants around Whatcom County, and occasionally heading to Seattle for live shows. I especially appreciate the rhythm of all four seasons here: summers spent by the river and winters spent skiing up at Mt. Baker are among my favorite ways to recharge. My husband and I have two children and two dogs, and we love being part of this community.
